Intuition is for Thinking
Human beings have been working to develop artificial intelligence for more than half a century. While the objects we have created so far can hold massive amounts of data and make complex calculations at lightning speed, so far they are incapable of intuition—a central human trait. Intuition is for Thinking brings the viewer in contact with a robot (a non-intuitive object) who makes the case for intuition as a greater than rational thought. The project engages with the futuristic idea of technology which, rather than destroying us, can show us where we have gone wrong and what we have lost from our humanity.
