Duration: 1-6,5 hours
Venue: Art-Arthina Art Fair
This long durational performance of slow paced choreography questions different ideas of intimacy, how we view the female body and the perception between physical positions that often are viewed as sexually inviting and similar positions used in yoga, Pilates, dance and other physical training postures that denote a different connotation. The performance alters between these different but similar positions with very small adjustments in the postures. The distance between the performers also changes through the performance from being separated from each other to being intimate and performing the same positions in close body contact with one another. The positions are being performed in a very slow tempo and sometimes held for several minutes.
Video and photography documentation, from a 4 days long performance at the Art-Arthina Art Fair in Athens May 2016. Performed in sets of one, two and three people. Performed together with: Ismini Makaratzi, Antigoni and Anastasia.
